Key Features & Benefits

  • Medium (3m x 2.5m, depth 45cm),
  • Extensive (5m x 3m, depth 60cm),

Eco-Friendly Design: Each kit supports a natural habitat, creating a serene space for frogs while enhancing biodiversity in your garden.

Ideal for Wildlife Enthusiasts: These kits are perfect for those passionate about nature. They bring a slice of wetland magic to your garden and support local frog populations.

What’s Included in Your Kit:

  • Flexible Pond Liner: Sized to match your kit choice, ensuring a watertight pond.
  • Protective Matting: Covers both under and over the liner, securing it against rocks and roots.
  • Water Garden Pouches: Keep aquatic plants and soil in place, promoting stable growth.
  • Pond Detoxifier: Neutralizes tap water chlorine, creating a safe environment for frogs.
  • Multi Aqua Sachets: Add beneficial bacteria to maintain a healthy pond ecosystem.
  • Multi Clear Solution: Prevents algae growth, ensuring clear, clean water.

Additional Items Recommended (Not Included):

  • Aquatic Safe Stones & Gravel: For creating shallow areas and providing natural shelter.
  • Aquatic Plants & Soil: We recommend native plants like miniature water lilies for natural beauty and ecosystem support.
  • Natural Elements: Enhance frog habitats with driftwood, broken terracotta, or rocks for climbing spots and hiding places.

Tools Needed:

  • Spade (for digging) and a Shovel (for shoveling out loose soil)
  • Sharp Knife or Scissors (for liner and matting)
  • Spirit Level (recommended 1800mm for precision)
  • Tape Measure
  • Wheelbarrow
  • Garden Hose (useful for shaping and filling)

Easy 7-Step Installation Guide:

  1. Mark Out the Pond Area: Use a garden hose or sand to outline the shape of your new pond. If the ground is not level, find the lowest spot. Imagine that this low spot is where the pond water will overflow naturally. Mark this low spot for future reference.
  2. Excavate: Dig out the pond area, creating shelves and varying depths for frog habitats. If the area is not level, you must first dig the pond at least below the water line but not more prominent than the size of the pond, or the liner might be too small. You don't want to create a new lower area that will need correcting later. Keep checking the depths of the new shelves from the marked water levels. Avoid under or over-digging as the shelf needs the correct depth for your design. The bigger and more profound the steps are, the more prominent the stones or plants need to be to cover the liner, or if the depth is not deep enough, you will not have enough space for the water plants, or the liner will be on show.
  3. Install Liner and Protective Matting: Layer the liner with the protective matting for durability on both sides.
  4. Plant Native Aquatic Plants: Place the aquatic plants in water garden pouches with aquatic soil or the correct media for the chosen water plant.
  5. Create Frog-Friendly Areas: Add rocks, stones, and gravel to create a natural habitat with hiding spots.
  6. Fill with Water: Use rainwater when possible and carefully hose it to avoid disturbing the setup.
  7. Finish Edges: Trim excess liner and matting, secure edges for a seamless look, and use edging stones for a natural finish.
