What is the best product to clear pond water?

After more than 35 years working with ponds, the first thing I’d say is don’t treat the water until you understand why it isn’t clear.

There isn’t one bottle that fixes every pond.

If your pond water is cloudy, discoloured or full of very fine suspended particles, then Aquascape Clear for Ponds is one of the products I recommend.

It contains clarifiers that help bring those tiny suspended particles together so your filtration system can remove them more easily. It also contains a phosphate binder, helping to lock up excess nutrients in the water.

But this is important.

If the pond keeps going cloudy, the bottle probably isn’t the real solution.

You may have too much organic waste, poor circulation, inadequate filtration, green water algae, excessive fish load or something else going on within the pond.

That’s why my approach is always:

Then use the right product for the problem.

If your pond is basically working well but the water is cloudy or discoloured and needs that extra push towards clarity, Clear for Ponds by Aquascape is a very good choice.

If you're dealing with lots of sludge, decomposing leaves or organic waste, I may recommend proper filtration or AnyPond Bacteria instead if you dont have power.
